Report from Harry, 11/01/2005
Hey Bill... another good
morning in the blind...got 2 nice drakes, a hooded merganser, a greenie and a pair of malards, One of the woodies was big
and I am going to mount it and give it to my dad for christmas. The call worked like a champ again, we easily could have shot
our limit but we want to let the woodies rest and keep propagating in the flooded area next to the blind, some micro-management
if you will. I took a photo of the new call and the woodie to thank you again for it. I dont think the big push is on for
the migration, talked to a hunter yesterday who knows of thousands of birds penned up about 10 miles north of our spot in
a huge of flooded farmers woodlot. Lake champlain is way above highwater levels for spring or fall, i think 10-15 year level
and the birds are just hanging out til the weather gets real nasty. the skinny bird in the last photos was a snipe, the thing
flew by 4-5 times and that was too much, tasty little feller. Regards, Harry

ANOTHER HAPPY HUNTER!!
Hey just got my call yesterday and figured I'd drop you a note. Today
was our last hunt of the season, and this last week and a half ALL the ducks have been extremely call and decoy shy, flaring
at 100 yards plus just from seeing any decoys, no calling. We went from limits during the first part of the season to being
skunked 2 out of the last 4 trips. This morning, got a few deeks set up and still had about 20 minutes before shooting time.
I told my buddy Jeff I brought the "secret weapon" with me this morning, and showed him your call. I blew on it twice and
a danged woodie landed in the decoys! We sat there hoping he'd stick around till legal time but he flew off. Right at shooting
time I hit the call again and had a flock of black-bellied whistlers come in. I used this call exclusively today, as the ducks
have flared at any call we've used lately. We wound up with our limit of mottleds and a few black bellies as well. Thanks
for saving our last day! I'm very happy with the call -Tom
